ONCF Initiates Bids for Kénitra-Marrakech High-Speed Rail Project
The National Office of Railways (ONCF) has officially announced the launch of a significant tender aimed at the installation and commissioning of elevators and escalators at various stations and technical centers along the forthcoming high-speed rail line connecting Kénitra to Marrakech. This ambitious project is estimated to involve an investment of approximately 180 million dirhams, excluding taxes.
According to the tender notice, the contract is divided into four distinct lots, each covering different stations and facilities associated with the high-speed rail project. The first lot, estimated at 46 million dirhams, focuses on the Grand Stade Hassan II and Casablanca Airport stations. The second lot, valued at around 44 million dirhams, pertains to the Casa Sud and Marrakech Guéliz stations.
The third lot, with an estimated value of 36 million dirhams, encompasses the stations within the Rabat-Salé-Kénitra region, along with technical centers and installations in the Marrakech area. Lastly, the fourth lot, projected at 54 million dirhams, is designated for the stations located within the Casablanca region.
The deadline for the submission of bids is set for September 3, 2026, at 9:00 AM, and the opening of the bids will take place at the ONCF's Institute of Training and Skills Development in Rabat. This initiative reflects ONCF's commitment to enhancing the infrastructure and accessibility of Morocco's rail network, ultimately providing a more efficient transportation solution for passengers traveling between these key cities.
