Heavy Sentencing for Serial Pharmacy Thief in Fez
The Criminal Chamber of the Court of Appeal has recently delivered a significant verdict, convicting a young man to a ten-year prison sentence for his involvement in a series of thefts targeting various pharmacies within the city of Fez and its surrounding areas. The court found the defendant guilty of aggravated theft, which took place under the cover of night and involved the use of a weapon, multiple offenders, and the utilization of a motor vehicle, all of which were substantiated by the evidence presented in police reports and investigative data.
The details of this case trace back to January 21, when officers from the local judicial police in Fez apprehended the suspect in the act of attempting to commit theft while threatening a pharmacy employee with a knife. This incident occurred around 8 PM in a pharmacy located on Mohammed Fassi Street, in the Dar Debibagh area. Following this arrest, further investigations, including a search of the suspect's residence in the Ben Soudah neighborhood, uncovered additional information linking him to a prior theft at a pharmacy in the Bedi district of the Moulay Yacoub region. These findings confirmed strong suspicions regarding his involvement in a series of thefts that had caused considerable alarm among pharmacy professionals in the area.
