Exciting Event for Horse Enthusiasts in Rabat
This weekend, on May 9 and 10, Rabat is set to become the epicenter of equestrian excellence as it hosts the prestigious "Morocco Breeders Show – Emirates Arabian Horse Global Cup (EAHGC) 2026" at the Prince Héritier Moulay El Hassan National Horse Institute in Dar Essalam. This remarkable event will feature nearly 200 exceptional horses and 50 breeders, showcasing the rich heritage and high standards of Arabian horse breeding in Morocco. Organized by the Société Royale d’Encouragement du Cheval (SOREC) in collaboration with the Emirates Arabian Horse Society (EAHS) and the Royal Moroccan Association of Arabian Thoroughbred Breeders, this show is an integral part of a prestigious international circuit that spans seven stages across the globe, all under the patronage of Mansour bin Zayed Al Nahyan.
Following successful events in Australia and Bahrain, the Morocco leg of this competition promises to highlight not only the beauty and agility of the horses but also the dedication of the breeders in this region. The event will feature an international judging panel comprised of experts from Spain, Belgium, the Netherlands, Oman, and Germany, who will assess and reward more than 60 elite horses across six championships. According to SOREC's Director General, Omar Skalli, this show represents a unique opportunity for Moroccan breeders to display their talents and promote the Kingdom's finest horses on an international stage.
A Family-Friendly Atmosphere
In addition to the competitive events, the 2026 edition of the Morocco Breeders Show aims to create an engaging and festive atmosphere for families and horse lovers alike. Attendees can look forward to a variety of activities, including a dedicated children's village and a vibrant food court, ensuring that there is something for everyone to enjoy. This initiative not only fosters a sense of community but also enhances the overall experience of the event, making it a perfect outing for equestrian enthusiasts and families wishing to immerse themselves in Moroccan culture and the world of Arabian horses.
