Women Summit 2026: Pioneering Women's Leadership in Africa

The Return of the Women Summit: A Platform for Ambition and Innovation

The Women Summit, following the success of its first three editions under the Honorary Presidency of Her Royal Highness Princess Lalla Meryem, is set to return on June 25th and 26th, 2026, in Casablanca for its fourth edition. This upcoming event is characterized by its focus on ambition, innovation, and pan-African cooperation, aligning with the broader goals of the Atlantic Initiative championed by His Majesty King Mohammed VI. This initiative aims to enhance cooperation, connectivity, and shared development among African nations along the Atlantic coast. The African Atlantic region has emerged as a significant driver of sustainable and inclusive growth, presenting numerous economic opportunities, innovations, and avenues for regional integration.

Under the theme "Atlantic Initiative: Women Driving Africa’s Inclusive & Sustainable Growth," the Women Summit will showcase the vital role women play in shaping a unified future as agents of transformation, innovation, leadership, and shared prosperity.

A Pan-African Platform for Influence and Impact

Established as one of the foremost platforms in Africa dedicated to female leadership, innovation, and economic inclusion, the Women Summit transcends being merely an event; it serves as a strategic dialogue space for collaboration and mobilization among stakeholders committed to the continent's transformation. The summit will gather public decision-makers, business leaders, investors, entrepreneurs, diplomats, representatives from international institutions, civil society actors, and opinion leaders from Africa and the diaspora, fostering sustainable partnerships and generating concrete solutions to developmental challenges.

In the face of unprecedented global economic, technological, climatic, and social changes, the Women Summit 2026 aims to spawn high-impact initiatives that contribute to a more resilient, competitive, and inclusive Africa. The discussions will spotlight the opportunities within the African Atlantic space regarding economic growth, regional integration, investment, innovation, and South-South cooperation. Key topics will include female leadership in governance and public policy, technological innovation, artificial intelligence, women entrepreneurship and access to financing, the blue economy and Atlantic space opportunities, the green economy and sustainable growth models, as well as the economic inclusion of women and youth.

This edition promises a rich program filled with inspiration and action. Attendees can look forward to inspiring keynotes from influential figures across the continent and the international stage. The official opening ceremony will feature the presentation of the Ubuntu Awards 2026, which honors individuals, institutions, and initiatives in Africa that contribute to a more inclusive, innovative, and sustainable continent. Additionally, strategic panels will convene decision-makers, experts, and economic leaders, along with workshops focused on innovation, entrepreneurship, and leadership, personal development workshops, a hackathon to engage young talents around continental challenges, an exhibition space showcasing innovative cooperatives and entrepreneurial initiatives, and impactful B2B meetings and networking sessions.

The confirmed speakers for this edition include notable figures such as Zita Oligui Nguema, First Lady of Gabon; SE Sheikha Bint Bishr, a Global Digital Transformation Expert; Ryad Mezzour, Minister of Industry and Trade; Haja Mamaka Bility, Minister of State; and other distinguished leaders across various sectors.

The Women Summit embodies the belief that women are one of the primary engines driving growth, innovation, and sustainable transformation across the continent. Through this initiative, the organizers aim to enhance women's participation in decision-making bodies, encourage innovation as a development catalyst, accelerate the economic empowerment of women and youth, promote impact investments, foster synergies between African and international stakeholders, and contribute to the emergence of a more integrated, prosperous, and sustainable African Atlantic space.

Moreover, in conjunction with the summit, the second edition of the Ubuntu Awards will honor distinguished individuals and institutions that significantly contribute to the continent's economic, social, and human development. Inspired by the Ubuntu philosophy—"I am because we are"—these awards recognize excellence, innovation, civic engagement, solidarity, and lasting impact.

The Ubuntu Awards follow a rigorous selection process to identify and celebrate initiatives, individuals, and organizations whose commitment genuinely contributes to sustainable development, inclusion, and the empowerment of women and youth in Africa. Nominations will be evaluated by a multidisciplinary jury comprising personalities from institutional, academic, economic, media, and civil society sectors, recognized for their expertise and commitment to the continent's development.
