In a circular issued by Minister Leila Benali regarding the implementation of the process for studying applications for the establishment and operation of service and refueling stations, it was announced that this regulatory measure will come into effect on August 31st. This marks a significant step toward aligning fuel distribution infrastructures with the Kingdom's energy transition goals.
This new approach is expected to encourage project developers to adopt technologies and equipment that produce electricity from renewable sources, particularly solar energy. This shift will not only diminish reliance on electricity generated from traditional sources but also reduce energy consumption costs in the medium to long term.
