EasyJet Expands Horizons with New Routes to Morocco from the UK

EasyJet Unveils Six New Routes Connecting the UK to Morocco

The renowned low-cost airline, EasyJet, is set to revolutionize travel between the UK and Morocco by introducing six new routes, including direct flights from Birmingham and Newcastle. This strategic expansion marks a significant milestone as EasyJet inaugurates its first operational base in Marrakech, equipped with three aircraft, a move that is projected to generate approximately 100 new job opportunities within the region. The newly launched routes are designed to cater to the increasing demand for travel to Morocco, especially during the winter seasons. With this expansion, the airline will now offer a total of 58 routes to Morocco, which includes 30 routes specifically to Marrakech.

Details of the New Routes and Operational Schedule

Among the newly announced routes, flights from Newcastle to Marrakech will commence in November 2026, with a frequency of two flights per week on Tuesdays and Saturdays. Additionally, travelers can look forward to new services from Birmingham to Agadir, as well as from Prague and Zurich to Marrakech, both set to begin operations in late October 2026. This expansion not only enhances EasyJet's presence in the Moroccan market but also provides travelers with more options and convenience for their holiday plans. Kenton Jarvis, the CEO of EasyJet, expressed his enthusiasm about this new chapter for the airline, noting the significance of reaching 20 million passengers in Morocco over the past two decades. This initiative not only enhances travel opportunities but also contributes positively to the local economy through increased tourism and job creation. As reported by birminghammail.co.uk.
