Sakankom Exhibition: A New Era for Real Estate in Agadir
On July 28, 2026, Agadir welcomed the inaugural edition of the International Real Estate, Professional Real Estate, and Public Works Exhibition, dubbed "Sakankom." The event unfolds under the theme "Agadir Souss-Massa: A Territory in Full Transformation, Engine of Growth, Investment, and Economic Development." Organized over three days by the Industricom Group, this exhibition aims to bring together key public and private stakeholders within the real estate, construction, urban planning, investment, and financing sectors. Its primary goal is to support the dynamic development currently being experienced in Agadir and the Souss-Massa region.
This first edition aspires to highlight significant structuring projects in the region, enhance its attractiveness to both national and international investors, and foster value-creating partnerships. Over 50 real estate developers, alongside major players in the construction and public works sectors—including banks, financial institutions, architects, and solution providers—will showcase their projects, innovations, and exclusive offers during this pivotal event.
In his opening remarks, Hicham Rahioui Idrissi, CEO of Industricom, emphasized the exhibition's role as a professional platform uniting various actors in the real estate and construction ecosystem. He noted that it provides investors, real estate developers, study offices, financial institutions, and professionals with a conducive space for establishing new partnerships and exploring promising investment avenues. Furthermore, Rahioui Idrissi highlighted that visitors would have the unique opportunity to discover a diverse range of real estate projects, innovative construction solutions, and investment opportunities across different regions.
Additionally, Zahra Guighir, representing the Regional Directorate of Habitat and City Policy for Souss-Massa, presented several programs being implemented at the regional level, including urban upgrading policies, infrastructure enhancement, and direct housing assistance schemes. These initiatives are part of a broader strategy aimed at improving citizens' living conditions, rehabilitating urban spaces, and enhancing access to housing.
According to Said Dor, President of the Chamber of Commerce, Industry, and Services for the Souss-Massa region, the construction sector plays a pivotal role as a driver of development projects, paralleling investments in major infrastructures such as ports, airports, and housing projects. Idriss Boutti, President of the regional section of the General Confederation of Moroccan Enterprises (CGEM) for Souss-Massa, described the exhibition as a groundbreaking initiative, underlining that the construction sector serves as a key indicator of economic dynamism.
Ultimately, the Sakankom exhibition aims to serve as a meeting point for investors, public decision-makers, private actors, project holders, and institutional partners, fostering the emergence of economically impactful partnerships. Additionally, it offers visitors a wide array of investment opportunities, residential real estate programs, professional real estate options, financing solutions, and structuring projects tailored to meet the demands of housing development, economic activities, and territorial planning.
