In a deeply tragic incident that has shaken the Tamanarassout area, located on the outskirts of Marrakech, a 40-year-old mother took her own life along with her two children, aged 8 and 5, in a devastating manner last week. The preliminary investigations carried out by the judicial police in Tamanarassout indicate that the mother, who was divorced, jumped from the fifth floor of the building she resided in along with her youngest child, resulting in their immediate deaths.
Simultaneously, authorities discovered the body of the older son, born in 2018, inside their home, having succumbed to a large quantity of rat poison. Investigators found three empty boxes of the poison near him. Initial findings suggest that both the mother and her younger son had also ingested the same poison before she jumped with her youngest child from the fifth floor.
Investigations revealed that the deceased mother was facing numerous social issues with her ex-husband and his family, with whom she shared the same building. The judicial police in Tamanarassout have initiated an investigation and are conducting interviews with the family of the deceased, her ex-husband, and his relatives. Furthermore, the public prosecutor at the Court of Appeal in Marrakech has ordered autopsies for all three deceased individuals to ascertain the circumstances and causes surrounding this tragic event.
