Important Adjustments to Train Services
The National Office of Railways has announced temporary changes to the train services connecting the cities of Kenitra and Marrakech, effective from the night of Tuesday, April 21, to Thursday, April 23. These adjustments are necessary due to technical works related to the high-speed rail line. This initiative is part of routine maintenance aimed at enhancing infrastructure and improving the quality of services provided to travelers, especially on high-density routes.
According to the office, trains operating under the 'Atlas' service traveling to and from Marrakech will temporarily terminate at Sidi Ibrahim Station instead of the usual Marrakech Station. Consequently, these trains will not be making stops at Marrakech Station during the construction period, which directly affects passengers planning to travel to or from the city during these dates.
Alternative Transportation Arrangements
To minimize any disruptions for travelers, the National Office of Railways has confirmed that a bus service will be provided between Sidi Ibrahim Station and Marrakech Station in both directions. These buses will operate on adjusted schedules that align with the arrival and departure times of the trains, ensuring continuity of travel and reducing waiting times as much as possible.
Travelers intending to journey between Kenitra and Marrakech during this specified period are advised to check the updated train and bus schedules in advance to avoid any delays or confusion during their trips. It is important to note that these measures are temporary and are tied to the completion of the technical works, after which train services will return to their regular schedules.
