The office's periodic statistics regarding commercial air traffic for April 2026 indicate that the airport welcomed 97,881 passengers during the first four months of this year, up from 87,420 passengers during the corresponding period last year. In April alone, the number of travelers passing through Essaouira-Mogador Airport reached 32,065, reflecting a substantial increase of 25.29% compared to 25,593 passengers in April 2025.
Data on passenger air traffic distribution at this airport reveals that international flights dominated, accounting for a total of 97,641 travelers, marking an increase of 14.41%. In contrast, domestic flights saw a significant decline, with only 240,000 passengers, which represents a staggering decrease of 88.43%. Furthermore, the airport recorded a 16.31% increase in flight operations, with a total of 756 air movements by the end of April 2026, compared to 650 flights during the same period last year.
On a national level, commercial air traffic across the kingdom's airports reached 12,336,962 passengers by the end of April 2026, showing an increase of 9.7% compared to the same timeframe last year.
