Royal Air Maroc Introduces Fifth Weekly Flight from São Paulo to Casablanca

Royal Air Maroc Expands Flight Services to Brazil

Royal Air Maroc has announced an exciting development in its operations, introducing a fifth weekly flight on the direct route connecting São Paulo and Casablanca. This new service is set to commence between November and December of this year, coinciding with the winter season of 2026-2027. The additional frequency will be operated using the modern Boeing 787-9 Dreamliner aircraft, which is known for its fuel efficiency and passenger comfort. This expansion comes less than a year after the airline added its fourth weekly flight on the same route, reflecting the growing demand for air travel between Brazil and Morocco. According to Royal Air Maroc, Brazil has become its primary market outside of Africa, indicating the importance of this route in their international strategy.

The airline's regional director for South America, Othman Baba, highlighted Brazil's strategic role in Royal Air Maroc's future plans, stating that the country is central to their connectivity strategy and that they expect to operate daily flights by 2028, with a new route to Rio de Janeiro anticipated to launch in 2027. Currently, Royal Air Maroc operates four weekly direct flights from Guarulhos International Airport in São Paulo to Casablanca, departing at 12:30 AM on Tuesdays, Wednesdays, Fridays, and Sundays, and arriving in Casablanca at 1:25 PM local time. The return flights leave Casablanca at 4:50 PM on Mondays, Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Saturdays, landing back in São Paulo at 10:30 PM.

This enhanced route not only facilitates travel for Brazilian passengers but also connects them to Royal Air Maroc's hub at Mohammed V Airport in Casablanca, providing access to nearly 100 destinations across 46 countries in Africa, Europe, Asia, and North America. The expansion of this route is part of Royal Air Maroc's broader international growth strategy, which includes plans to increase its fleet size and enhance connectivity through Casablanca. Further details regarding the start of ticket sales, flight schedules, and days of operation for the new frequency will be announced in due course.
