Royal Air Maroc Boosts Flight Offerings for 2026 World Cup in the U.S.

Expanded Flight Services by Royal Air Maroc for World Cup 2026

In a significant move ahead of the 2026 FIFA World Cup, Royal Air Maroc is dramatically enhancing its flight offerings. The Moroccan airline plans to charter numerous additional flights throughout June, connecting Casablanca to three major U.S. cities, namely Atlanta, Boston, and New York City. As a member of the Oneworld alliance, Royal Air Maroc has revised its initial travel plans, which originally included a single flight, to now accommodate up to six round trips to Atlanta and Boston, demonstrating a robust commitment to facilitating travel for fans and supporters during this global sporting event.

The expansion of services also encompasses added flights to New York's JFK Airport, with five additional charter routes introduced that were not previously disclosed. This surge in scheduled flights will occur between June 11 and June 27, 2026, utilizing advanced Boeing 788 and 789 aircraft specifically for these routes. Passengers will have the opportunity to fly directly from Casablanca to these strategically important U.S. destinations, ensuring a seamless travel experience during the World Cup.

Flight Schedule Details for the June 2026 World Cup

The detailed flight schedule reflects the airline's dedication to meet the high demand anticipated for the World Cup. For instance, on June 11, 2026, flights from Casablanca to New York are set to depart at various times, including a 5:05 AM flight arriving at JFK at 7:55 AM, and another departing at 7:00 AM arriving at 9:50 AM. Similarly, return flights from New York back to Casablanca are scheduled throughout the day, allowing for flexibility and convenience for travelers. The flight itinerary continues through June 18, with additional services established for Boston and Atlanta, ensuring that fans can easily access the games and support their teams.

Furthermore, Royal Air Maroc is introducing a direct flight from Casablanca to Los Angeles, marking a historical first for a direct air link between Africa and the U.S. West Coast, set to commence in June 2026, just prior to the World Cup. This strategic addition is expected to enhance connectivity not only for sports fans but also for travelers between these two regions.

In addition to its flight expansions, Royal Air Maroc is also fortifying its network to sub-Saharan Africa for the summer of 2026, implementing additional flights and revised routes from Casablanca. However, it will temporarily suspend several routes to six African cities due to operational challenges, which may affect various triangular travel plans originating from Casablanca. Amidst these changes, the airline is also navigating interruptions in its connections to key cities in the Middle East, reflecting the dynamic nature of airline operations in response to global events.
