Revolutionizing Security: DGSN Unveils AI-Enhanced Smart Patrol Vehicles in Casablanca

The General Directorate of National Security (DGSN) has launched an innovative fleet of smart patrol vehicles in Casablanca, marking a significant advancement in modern security operations. These state-of-the-art vehicles, named "Amane" and "Madar," are equipped with cutting-edge artificial intelligence and sophisticated surveillance systems, along with real-time identification technologies. The introduction of these patrol units is part of the DGSN's strategic initiative to enhance the operational capabilities of its field officers by leveraging connected technologies.

The newly deployed patrol vehicles are engineered to undertake a diverse array of missions, ranging from urban patrolling and proximity security to event monitoring, crowd management, smart city operations, and safeguarding critical infrastructure. Their multifaceted design ensures that they can adapt to various security scenarios effectively.

Amane: A Technological Marvel in Security Patrol

The "Amane" patrol vehicle stands out with its sophisticated technological framework, centered on artificial intelligence, real-time reconnaissance, and exceptional operational autonomy. This advanced vehicle features a comprehensive 360-degree autonomous surveillance system, incorporating 11 customized cameras equipped with optical zoom capabilities. The design includes roof-mounted cameras strategically positioned to deliver full-angle coverage, complemented by a panoramic camera that can execute a complete rotation in just three seconds while zooming in on subjects up to 40 meters away.

Furthermore, the Amane vehicle boasts three Automatic Number Plate Recognition (ANPR) cameras that autonomously identify Moroccan vehicle registration plates with an impressive accuracy rate of 90%, which can increase to 95% under operational conditions. To enhance security further, the vehicle is fitted with an internal camera equipped with facial recognition technology, enabling the identification of both the driver and the assistant, thus adding an extra layer of protection within the vehicle.

The connectivity of the patrol vehicle to internal security networks empowers officers to verify the identity of individuals or vehicles in real-time, thanks to direct access to central databases. Events detected by the system are automatically linked with precise geolocation data, whether related to vehicle plates or identified individuals. With a remarkable operational autonomy of up to 16 hours, the Amane vehicle is set to be deployed across various contexts, including urban surveillance, public event security, smart city management, and the protection of vital infrastructure.

Madar: The Mobile Surveillance Platform

The "Madar" patrol vehicle transforms a conventional vehicle into a highly connected mobile surveillance platform, utilizing the same advanced artificial intelligence system found in the Amane unit. This vehicle is equipped with a 360-degree vision system that enables it to monitor the surrounding environment effectively while identifying individuals and vehicles in real-time.

Additionally, Madar features a uniquely designed and 3D-printed flashing beacon that houses high-resolution cameras capable of capturing rapid images without distortion. The system can monitor up to six traffic lanes simultaneously, with three cameras dedicated to each lane and a central 360-degree camera ensuring comprehensive coverage of the area. The cameras are equipped with both license plate recognition and pedestrian identification technologies, allowing Madar to assist security teams during patrols and operational interventions.
