Introduction of New Parking Fees in Marrakech
The management of the underground parking facility at 16 November Square in Gueliz, Marrakech, has announced the implementation of a new fee structure for parking services. This decision aligns with the transition to the normal operational phase of the facility, following the conclusion of the initial transitional period.
This reform is part of a broader initiative aimed at modernizing the management system for urban parking. Under the new structure, parking fees for cars have been set at 5 dirhams for the first hour, with an additional charge of 3 dirhams for each subsequent hour. The pricing options also include tiered rates, which are 17 dirhams for four hours and 40 dirhams for a full 24-hour period.
In addition to the hourly rates, the new structure introduces monthly subscription plans for vehicles, which are priced at 570 dirhams for full subscriptions, 420 dirhams for daytime subscriptions, and 270 dirhams for nighttime subscriptions. Furthermore, there are specific rates for motorcycles, ranging from 3 dirhams per hour to 10 dirhams for a full day, with monthly subscriptions varying between 120 and 250 dirhams.
The facility will continue to utilize automatic payment systems and digital monitoring to facilitate traffic flow and enhance parking efficiency in the city center.
