Message from Lawyer Regarding Imprisoned Senegalese Supporters in Morocco

Lawyer's Update on the Release of Imprisoned Supporters

On April 13, the Rabat Court confirmed the sentence against eighteen Senegalese supporters who have been detained in Morocco. However, it has been announced that three of these individuals are expected to complete their sentences and be released on Saturday, April 18. Their lawyer, Me Patrick Kabou, issued a statement regarding this matter.

Me Kabou emphasized that efforts are underway, coordinated by Senegal's diplomatic mission in Morocco and following directives from the Secretary of State for Senegalese citizens abroad, to ensure that the dignity of the imprisoned supporters is respected and protected. For those who are set to be released, he stated that arrangements will be made in accordance with their wishes, allowing them to transition smoothly from prison back into society.

He urged the public to support these citizens with serenity and dignity as they reintegrate into their daily lives, highlighting that the families of the imprisoned supporters are in greater need of community support during this challenging time. "This is the moment when our eighteen compatriots detained in Morocco and their families need us the most," he remarked.
