Police Arrest Three for Reckless Driving in Marrakech
In the early hours of Wednesday, April 29, the police force in Marrakech successfully apprehended three individuals aged between 17 and 23. These arrests were made based on suspicions of their involvement in reckless driving that posed a significant threat to public safety and the wellbeing of road users. The police had previously identified several videos circulating on social media that depicted these individuals engaging in dangerous motorcycle stunts in public areas. Subsequent investigations allowed authorities to ascertain the identities of those responsible.
The ongoing inquiries led to the detention of the suspects in various locations, including the city of Marrakech, Ait Ourir, and the rural area known as "El Hassia" near Chichaoua. Additionally, three motorcycles believed to have been used in these criminal acts were seized during the operation. The suspects are currently undergoing judicial investigations supervised by the competent public prosecutor’s office, which aims to uncover all the circumstances surrounding this case and identify any further criminal activities attributed to them.
