Casablanca Stock Market Declines Slightly

On Wednesday, April 29, 2026, the Casablanca Stock Exchange concluded its trading day on a negative note. The primary index, known as MASI, experienced a slight decrease of 0.08%, closing at 18,699.53 points. Sector Performance and Trading Activity

In terms of international indices, the FTSE CSE Morocco 15 Index and the FTSE CSE Morocco All-Liquid Index reported gains, with increases of 0.07% to 17,626.31 points and 0.06% to 16,031.06 points, respectively. Sector performance revealed notable declines in specific areas: the 'Engineering and Industrial Equipment' sector saw a significant drop of 2.71%, followed by 'Forestry and Paper' at -2.51%, and 'Healthcare' at -1.75%. In contrast, sectors such as 'Banks' (+0.75%), 'Real Estate Investment Companies' (+0.59%), and 'Mining' (+0.20%) showed resilience, posting the best performances of the day.

Trading activity amounted to 243.04 million dirhams, predominantly occurring on the central market, with Jet Contractors, Wafa Assurance, and Crédit du Maroc leading the market in transactions, accounting for 25.92 million dirhams, 23.53 million dirhams, and 18.46 million dirhams, respectively. The overall market capitalization reached over 1,068.82 billion dirhams.

On the individual stock front, the largest declines were seen in M2M Group (-5.17%), IB Maroc.com (-4.96%), Fenie Brossette (-4.29%), Ennakl (-3.87%), and Stokvis Nord Afrique (-3.45%). Conversely, stocks such as Zellidja S.A (+5.88%), Bank of Africa (+1.97%), Minière Touissit (+1.56%), CIH (+1.39%), and Maghrebail (+1.25%) recorded the most significant gains during the session.
