Jordan's U18 Female Volleyball Team Claims Victory Against Morocco
In an exciting match that took place recently at the Palace of Sports in the City of Youth, the Jordanian national team for under-18 female volleyball showcased their impressive skills by defeating Morocco with a score of 3-1. The set scores were 20-25, 25-17, 25-17, and 25-22, marking a significant moment in the inaugural edition of the Arab Championship.
This victory places the Jordanian team at the top of the standings, sharing the lead with Egypt, which also secured a win against Bahrain in the same round. The tournament follows a semi-league format and features seven participating teams, including Jordan, Bahrain, Lebanon, Egypt, Morocco, Palestine, and Algeria.
Egypt's win over Bahrain was particularly dominant, with a score of 3-0, including staggering set scores of 25-3, 25-4, and 25-5, all within a mere 45 minutes of play. The Egyptian team scored an impressive 75 points during the match, while Bahrain managed only 12 points, underlining the competitive nature of the tournament.
Meanwhile, Lebanon triumphed over Palestine, winning 3-0 with set scores of 25-13, 25-10, and 25-6, in a match that lasted 57 minutes. Lebanon secured 75 points compared to Palestine's 29, reflecting a similarly one-sided contest.
As the second round of matches concluded, both Jordan and Egypt stood at the forefront with 6 points from two matches each. Algeria followed with 3 points from one match, while Lebanon also accumulated 3 points from two games. Morocco remains without points from one match, and both Palestine and Bahrain are yet to score, each having played two matches.
Today, the teams will take a rest day before resuming the fourth round of matches on Wednesday. The upcoming games feature Jordan facing Palestine at 7 PM, Egypt against Morocco at 3 PM, and Algeria taking on Lebanon at 5 PM. Matches from the third round were held yesterday, showcasing teams like Jordan against Egypt, Morocco against Algeria, and Bahrain against Palestine.
