Remembering Robert Rabat
It is with deep sorrow that we announce the passing of Robert Rabat, who departed at the venerable age of 91. Robert's family—his beloved wife Michèle, children Dominique, Véronique, Stéphanie, Frédéric, Stella, Catherine, and Laurent, along with his cherished grandchildren Quentin, Yaël, Marie, Margaux, and Camille—have united in their grief to honor his memory. They, along with his brother Jean-Luc, sister-in-law Jeanine, cousin Dany, her husband Michel Mauge, and the extended family, are mourning the loss of a remarkable man who touched the lives of many.
The civil ceremony in his honor will take place on Tuesday, August 4, 2026, at 3 PM at the crematorium in Biarritz. Prior to the ceremony, family and friends can visit at the funeral home located at 2 Chemin du Trouillet in Bayonne, from Thursday, July 30, at 9 AM until Friday, July 31, at 2 PM. In keeping with Robert's wishes, there will be no flowers or plaques, but donations in his memory can be made to the Institut Pasteur or the Institut Marie Curie, reflecting his belief in supporting causes that matter.
