Delegation Pays Respects at the Alley of Honor in Baku
On September 14, participants of the 7th session of the Council of Chairpersons of Muslim Religious Authorities of the Organization of Turkic States (OTS) visited the Alley of Honor in Baku, where they paid their respects to the memory of Heydar Aliyev, the National Leader of the Azerbaijani people and the architect of modern independent Azerbaijan. This solemn occasion highlighted the deep respect and gratitude the attendees hold for Aliyev's contributions to the country.
The delegation laid a wreath at his grave, symbolizing their acknowledgment of his pivotal role in shaping the nation’s current identity and governance. Following this tribute, the group also honored the distinguished Azerbaijani ophthalmologist, Zarifa Aliyeva, by placing fresh flowers at her resting place, recognizing her significant contributions to the field of medicine.
In addition to these tributes, the delegation visited the graves of other prominent figures, including Aziz Aliyev, a notable statesman, and Tamerlan Aliyev, a renowned physician and scientist. Fresh flowers were laid at their graves as well, demonstrating a collective remembrance and respect for the legacies these individuals left behind.
