Government Council Approves New High-Level Appointments in Morocco

The Moroccan Government Council convened on Wednesday to approve a series of high-level appointments in accordance with Article 92 of the Constitution. This significant decision reflects the government's ongoing efforts to enhance its administrative framework and improve public service efficiency.

According to a statement from the Ministry Delegate in Charge of Relations with Parliament, which also serves as the government's official spokesperson, various key positions have been filled across multiple ministries. At the Ministry of Equipment and Water, Mr. Mohamed Amghaar has been appointed as the Director of the Souss-Massa Water Basin Agency. Meanwhile, in the Ministry of National Education, Preschool and Sports, Mr. Rashid Bashara is now the Director of the Regional Academy for Education and Training in the Guelmim-Oued Noun region, alongside Mr. Mustafa Lyakoubi, who has been appointed as the General Director for School Life Organization.

Furthermore, in the realm of tourism, the Ministry of Tourism, Handicrafts, Social Economy, and Solidarity has appointed Ms. Karima Ania as the Director of the International Higher Institute of Tourism in Tangier. In the Ministry of Higher Education, Scientific Research, and Innovation, Mr. Abderrazak Ben Skik has been designated as the Director of Higher Education and Pedagogical Development, while Mr. Aliyin Aba Hazem has taken on the role of Director of the Higher School of Technology in Guelmim, and Mr. Zouhir Mehani has been appointed as the Director of the Higher School of Technology in Dakhla.

Additionally, significant appointments have been made within the Ministry Delegated to Human Rights, where Ms. Yasmin Boutaib has become the Director of Studies, Monitoring, and International and Regional Cooperation. In the Ministry of Justice, Mr. Mohamed Hafidi has been appointed as the General Inspector, with Mr. Fred Benazizi taking on the role of Director of Legislation and Studies.

Moreover, the Ministry of Agriculture, Fisheries, Rural Development, Water, and Forests has appointed Mr. Mohamed Lyakoubi as the Director of the Regional Office for Agricultural Investment of Doukkala. Lastly, Mr. Hassan Masoudi has been appointed as the General Inspector within the Ministry of Industry and Commerce, and Mr. Mustafa Kahlawi has been designated as the Director of the Urban Agency of Laâyoune-Sakia El Hamra within the Ministry of National Planning, Urbanism, Housing, and City Policy.
