The International Film Festival of Bueu (FICBueu) is solidifying its international presence with notable participation in global cinema events. In a recent announcement, it was revealed that one of the festival's co-directors, Manuel Pena, will be traveling to Morocco to serve as a juror at the Dakhla International Film Festival, which is scheduled to take place from June 6 to June 12.
Dakhla, located in southern Morocco, is hosting the 14th edition of this prestigious festival, which has become a significant platform for dialogue, creation, and interaction among filmmakers. The festival emphasizes the importance of showcasing cinematic works from Africa, the Arab world, and the Global South, while also welcoming diverse perspectives from other regions. Leading the jury will be Moroccan filmmaker Asmae El Moudir, and alongside Manuel Pena, the jury will include prominent figures such as director Éléonore Yaméogo from Burkina Faso, Italian documentary filmmaker Guido Pappadà, and Swedish actor and producer Said William Legue.
