During a recent scientific seminar held in Marrakech, participants underscored the importance of preserving the noble Sunnah as a fundamental aspect of Moroccan civilization. They highlighted the Muhammad VI Platform for Authentic Hadith as a pioneering scientific and digital initiative aimed at safeguarding the Islamic tradition while facilitating access to it in accordance with the Kingdom's religious framework. This seminar, organized by the Regional Scientific Council of Marrakech-Safi under the theme "Caring for the Noble Sunnah in Moroccan Civilization in Light of the High Royal Message," was held in celebration of the Throne Day.
Speakers at the event emphasized that Morocco has accumulated a rich scientific heritage dedicated to the service of Prophetic traditions throughout its history. This dedication is reflected in the narration, transmission, composition, and interpretation of Hadith collections, as well as the revival of scholarly gatherings. The institution of the Imara of the Faithful continues this legacy through modern initiatives, with the Muhammad VI Platform for Authentic Hadith being at the forefront. The remarks made at the seminar confirmed that this platform provides a comprehensive scientific space for collecting, documenting, and indexing Hadiths, making them accessible to researchers and enthusiasts alike, thereby contributing to the preservation of this heritage and enhancing Morocco's prominence in the field of Hadith sciences.
Moreover, participants stressed that the service of the Sunnah has evolved into an institutional project involving the Ministry of Endowments and Islamic Affairs, scientific councils, and traditional educational institutions, alongside programs for training imams and guides. The seminar's discussions were divided into four main topics, focusing on the legitimate allegiance in light of the Sunnah, the efforts of the Amir al-Mu'minin in the service of authentic Hadith, the role of the Muhammad VI Platform for Authentic Hadith, and an overview of the manifestations of care for the Sunnah in Moroccan civilization through authorship, teaching, and education.
