Celebrating Creativity: A Cultural Festival in Marrakech

A Vibrant Showcase of Artistic Talent in Marrakech

The upcoming cultural festival in Marrakech promises to be a vibrant celebration of creativity, featuring participants from various age groups, including students from the ninth cohort of workshops. This event will see the active involvement of educational and cultural institutions, along with public reading spaces, all coming together to showcase their creative productions in a special commemoration. Attendees can look forward to theatrical poetry performances, engaging poetry readings by numerous young poets, and an artistic presentation led by the talented artist Nouzha Belhou, who is dedicated to entertaining children with her songs. Additionally, the theatrical artist Nouzha Aljaidi will participate through dynamic and informative segments that aim to promote reading and foster a love for books among the audience.

The cultural event will also feature workshops focused on poetry writing for children, teenagers, young adults, and enthusiasts. This initiative is part of the ongoing efforts by the Dar Al-Shi’r (House of Poetry) in Marrakech to connect with public reading points and educational, cultural, and community institutions, such as the Dawodiat Cultural Center, the Tamanart Cultural House, and the Abderrahim Sebti Institute for the Blind, along with various public and private educational establishments. The ninth season of this initiative concluded just last week, having kicked off a new season immediately following the "Open Doors" event held in September 2025, marking the start of a new chapter in the cultural and poetic program.

Highlighting Local Literary Voices

Among the notable participants in this cultural gathering are prominent figures such as Fatima Akhlaz, presenting her work "The Last Mine" in El Jadida, and Elias El Hani, who will explore the question of the Renaissance in modern Moroccan thought. Additionally, Rashid El Alawi will examine the representations of religion and democracy within public spaces, while novelist Fouad El Arwi will be a guest at the French Institute in Marrakech. This festival not only highlights local literary voices but also serves as a platform for fostering a deeper understanding of Moroccan culture through artistic expression.
