The Casablanca Stock Exchange continued its upward trajectory on Monday during the mid-session, with its key index, the MASI, rising by 0.59% to reach 19,104.45 points. This positive performance reflects a stable market environment as investors seem to regain confidence in the local economy.
In addition to the main MASI index, the MASI 20, which comprises the 20 most liquid stocks, also saw an increase of 0.16%, climbing to 1,368.14 points. Notably, the MASI ESG index, which highlights companies with the best Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) ratings according to Moody’s ESG Solutions, advanced significantly by 1.37%, reaching 1,432.67 points. Top Performers and Notable Declines in Individual Stocks
Among individual stocks, SMI recorded the highest performance, soaring by 5.97% to 7,100 DH, followed closely by Managem with a 4.39% increase to 1,880 DH. Other notable gainers included Résidences Dar Saada, which rose by 4.35% to 184.70 DH, CDM at 2.73% to 1,015 DH, and Salafin, which saw a 2.32% increase to 449.40 DH. These companies are demonstrating robust growth, which may signal positive investor sentiment towards their future prospects.
Conversely, some stocks experienced declines, with Taqa Morocco seeing the most significant drop of 3.49%, reaching 1,795 DH. Involys followed with a decline of 2.99% to 128.05 DH, while SNEP fell by 2.70% to 360 DH.
