Casablanca Enhances Security with New Fleet of Emergency Vehicles

Strengthening Public Safety in Casablanca

The General Directorate of National Security (DGSN) announced on Thursday, July 9, the deployment of a significant first batch of 31 security vehicles in Casablanca. This initiative is part of an ongoing effort to modernize and enhance operational capabilities within major urban areas, as confirmed by the DGSN’s central communication unit. The introduction of these vehicles is a strategic decision made by the Director General of National Security, Abdellatif Hammouchi, aimed at bolstering public safety and emergency response.

Modern Vehicles for Enhanced Emergency Response

This initial deployment includes a selection of state-of-the-art vehicles specifically designed for emergency police services, as well as units and brigades tasked with ensuring the protection of citizens and responding to emergencies around the clock. The DGSN emphasizes that this delivery is not just a one-off event but rather part of a broader initiative to update police structures and facilitate the rollout of a new automotive fleet for the Casablanca police prefecture.

Visuals released during this announcement showcase the newly marked national security vehicles, vans, and service cars organized in front of the Central Command and Coordination Post in Casablanca. This facility plays a crucial role in managing traffic regulations and video surveillance across the city.

The addition of these new vehicles aims to enhance the daily operational framework of the city by providing rapid response teams that can quickly reach incident sites, support existing patrols, and improve the handling of requests made to security services. As the largest city in Morocco, Casablanca experiences significant demands on its emergency, traffic, and urban surveillance systems. The DGSN regards this delivery as merely the first phase in an ongoing process to upgrade the automotive resources available to the police units serving this bustling metropolis.
