Félix Bolaños, the Minister of the Presidency, has publicly defended President Pedro Sánchez's recent vacation in La Mareta, emphasizing that being part of the government does not equate to complete disconnection from duties. Bolaños rhetorically questioned the skepticism surrounding Sánchez's work ethic while away from Madrid, stating, "Do you really think that just because he's not in the capital, he isn't working?" In his remarks, Bolaños also addressed the recent surge of immigrant attacks attributed to misinformation circulating on social media. He echoed sentiments expressed by his colleague Margarita Robles, denying any culpability on Morocco's part regarding the mass entry of immigrants into Spain. "There is no evidence that Morocco has orchestrated or encouraged this influx," he stated, while criticizing opposition parties like the Popular Party (PP) and Vox for fostering distrust and suspicion towards Morocco, which he described as a country with which Spain must maintain cooperative relations. Bolaños concluded his statement by suggesting that these parties require a "crash course in basic diplomacy" to better navigate international relations. Furthermore, he refuted claims made by the Moroccan Justice Minister, asserting that Ceuta and Melilla are as Spanish as any major city within the mainland, such as Barcelona or Málaga.
