Air Transat Launches New Route to Agadir, Morocco from Montreal

Air Transat Expands Its Horizons with New Agadir Route

Air Transat has officially launched its inaugural flight connecting Montreal to Agadir, Morocco, marking a significant expansion in its service offerings. The first non-stop flight, operated by an Airbus A321LR, departed last week from Montréal-Pierre Elliott Trudeau International Airport (YUL) and is set to operate every Friday until October 23, 2026. Sébastien Ponce, Transat's Chief Revenue Officer, emphasized that this new route is a testament to the airline's commitment to enhancing travel options to Morocco and strengthening its presence on the African continent. He stated, "The launch of this route to Agadir reflects our ambition to strengthen exclusive access to Morocco and expand our presence across the African continent. It responds to strong and growing demand while supporting both tourism development and closer ties between communities in Canada and Morocco."

The addition of the Agadir route complements Air Transat's existing service to Marrakech, solidifying its foothold in the Moroccan market. The response from leisure travelers and the Moroccan community in Quebec has been overwhelmingly positive, highlighting a rise in demand for travel to this vibrant destination. Agadir is renowned for its stunning long beaches and picturesque coastal views, making it an attractive vacation spot for those seeking sun and relaxation.

This strategic move not only enhances Air Transat’s portfolio but also plays a crucial role in fostering connections between Canada and Morocco, promoting cultural exchange and tourism growth. As travelers increasingly seek diverse and enriching experiences, Air Transat is poised to cater to this demand by providing more direct flight options to captivating destinations.
