EasyJet Expands Routes to Morocco
In an exciting development for travelers, EasyJet is set to introduce two new direct flights connecting Bordeaux to Agadir and Nantes to Essaouira starting this October. This initiative is part of the airline's broader strategy to expand its services to Morocco, a destination that has seen a growing demand from travelers in recent years. According to a statement from the airline, these new routes will enhance EasyJet's offerings, making it the second-largest airline in France and the third-largest in Morocco.
The new flights will operate twice a week, providing convenient access to two of Morocco's most iconic destinations. The addition of these routes is expected to cater not only to leisure travelers eager to explore the rich culture and stunning landscapes of Morocco but also to business travelers and the Moroccan diaspora residing in western France. EasyJet has recognized the year-round interest in travel to Morocco, and the company is committed to meeting this demand head-on, as stated by Reginald Otten, deputy director of EasyJet.
However, it is worth noting that EasyJet has decided to cancel its flights from Lille to Marrakech and Strasbourg to the city known for its distinctive pink hue, as these routes were initially slated to commence in early May. With a total of 58 routes to Morocco, including 30 dedicated to Marrakech, EasyJet continues to solidify its presence in the Moroccan travel market, with plans to extend several existing routes to operate year-round. This includes routes from Lille, Strasbourg, and Hamburg to Marrakech, allowing for greater flexibility and accessibility for travelers.
