Morocco Dental Expo 2026: A Benchmark Event for the African Dental Industry

The International Exhibition Center in Casablanca has proudly hosted the seventh edition of the Morocco Dental Expo since Wednesday, marking its significance as a premier professional and scientific platform for the dental sector in Africa. The event, which will run until May 10th at the ICEC in Aïn Sebaâ, has brought together more than 120 exhibitors across an expansive area exceeding 8,000 square meters. An impressive turnout is anticipated, with over 7,500 professional visitors expected to explore the offerings over the four days of the exhibition.

Co-organized under the supervision of the Ministry of Health and Social Protection and the Ministry of Higher Education, Scientific Research, and Innovation, this initiative aligns with the ongoing reform of the healthcare system in accordance with the high directives of His Majesty King Mohammed VI. The 2026 edition has seen an expanded international participation, featuring exhibitors from Morocco, Italy, Egypt, France, China, Pakistan, the United Arab Emirates, and Germany. This growing international dimension underscores the increasing appeal of the expo among dental professionals.

Exhibitors represent the entire dental ecosystem, showcasing a comprehensive range of products and services including medical equipment, consumables, digital solutions, educational institutions, and management services for dentists, dental technicians, healthcare facility managers, researchers, and students. The scientific aspect of the event is particularly noteworthy, with the tenth edition of Dental Tribune held concurrently, focusing on the theme "The Future of Dentistry in Morocco: From Foundations to Digital Innovations." The scientific program features over 35 lectures and more than 40 hours of continuous education led by experts from Morocco and abroad.

Participants can look forward to sessions covering the latest advancements in implantology, orthodontics, and medical imaging. Innovations related to 3D printing and artificial intelligence are central topics of discussion, reflecting the rapid changes in dental practice as modern technologies and digital solutions become increasingly integrated. Imad Benjelloun, director of Atelier Vita, the organizing agency for the event, emphasized that the expo has established itself as a key meeting point on a continental scale. The Morocco Dental Expo is a fully Moroccan initiative that not only enhances national skills but also elevates the profile of Moroccan dentistry on both African and international stages, providing a platform for the exchange of experiences and insights into global innovations.

Dr. Mohammed Asdira, president of the National Council of the National Order of Dentists, highlighted the event's importance in supporting the transformations within the sector. He stressed the need for enhanced professional guidance, better organization of the profession, and the fight against illegal practices that undermine discipline and citizen safety. Professor Saïd Dahhimi, president of the scientific committee of the expo, emphasized the critical role of scientific research and continuous education in developing national competencies and adapting to global scientific and technological advancements in dentistry.

Dounia Medioni, vice president of the Moroccan Association of Medical Device Professionals, underscored the vital role of private sector involvement in improving the quality of medical services and equipment, praising the expo's role in fostering connections among various stakeholders in the healthcare system. The inaugural session also featured remarks from Mohammed Zalan, president of the National Union of Dental Technicians, in the presence of Najat Hallabi, representative of the Ministry of Health and Social Protection, as well as representatives from the Mohammed VI Foundation for Health Sciences and partners from both the public and private sectors.
