EasyJet Expands Winter Schedule with Nine New Routes from Six UK Airports

EasyJet Unveils New Travel Opportunities This Winter

The low-cost airline easyJet has announced an exciting expansion with the introduction of nine new routes from six airports across the United Kingdom, set to commence later this year. This strategic move not only aims to enhance connectivity but also to cater to the growing demand for travel options among customers looking for affordable holiday experiences. The new routes include service from Birmingham to Agadir, Belfast International to both Rome and Sharm El Sheikh, along with flights from London Luton Airport to Ljubljana, London Southend Airport to Budapest, and Newcastle to Fuerteventura, Reykjavik, and Krakow. Southampton will also see a new route to Paris, marking a significant increase in travel choices for passengers.

The inaugural flights for these routes are scheduled to take off this winter, with the Southampton to Paris Charles de Gaulle route launching on 25 October, operating twice weekly on Thursdays and Sundays. Following closely, the Belfast International routes to Sharm El Sheikh and Rome will begin on 25 and 26 October respectively. The Sharm El Sheikh service will run twice a week on Wednesdays and Sundays, while the Rome flights will operate on Mondays and Fridays. Additionally, the London Luton to Ljubljana route is set to start on 26 October, offering three weekly departures on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays, thereby providing travelers with a direct link to Slovenia's picturesque capital and the stunning Lake Bled.

Moreover, the new service from Southend to Budapest, commencing on 26 October, will operate twice weekly on Mondays and Fridays, facilitating easier access for customers in Essex and London to this majestic city on the banks of the Danube. EasyJet is also capitalizing on its recently established base in Newcastle by adding three new routes to its portfolio. Flights to Fuerteventura, Krakow, and Reykjavik are set to launch sequentially from 25 to 27 October, each with twice-weekly departures, ensuring a variety of options for winter getaways.

Notably, easyJet's Birmingham to Agadir service will commence on 27 October, offering travelers the chance to explore Morocco’s stunning coastal resort with flights available twice a week on Tuesdays and Saturdays. The airline is poised to become the sole carrier providing direct flights from Belfast International to both Sharm El Sheikh and Rome, as well as the only airline operating regular services from London Southend to Budapest and London Luton to Ljubljana.

Kevin Doyle, easyJet’s UK Country Manager, expressed enthusiasm regarding the launch of these new routes, highlighting the airline's commitment to offering increased choice and connectivity for customers. He stated, “We are excited to be launching nine new routes and packages from across the UK for this winter, providing customers with even more choice and connectivity. Whether they’re looking for winter sun or a weekend away in some of Europe’s most iconic capitals, this new batch of routes further expands the range of exciting destinations available for our customers to choose from at affordable prices.”
