Police Operations Lead to Drug-Related Arrests
According to a reliable security source, a series of police operations have successfully dismantled a drug trafficking network, leading to the arrest of three individuals in different locations. The first operation took place at "Darb Al-Mushtouri," where authorities apprehended the primary suspect, who was found in possession of 54 narcotic pills along with a quantity of other illicit substances. In a subsequent intervention at "Darb Al-Zahiri," a second suspect was caught red-handed with 11 pills prepared for sale, highlighting the ongoing battle against drug distribution in the area.
Furthermore, at "Darb Al-Shouba Al-Fouqaniya," the police arrested a third individual during an apparent drug transaction, where he was supplying a customer with the narcotic known as "shira." The suspect was also found with packages of another drug, "moujoun," indicating a diverse supply chain of illicit drugs within the community. The security forces are now holding all three suspects under preventive custody, pending an investigative process led by the competent public prosecutor. This investigation aims to uncover the full extent of their criminal activities and trace the supply routes that feed the local market with these dangerous substances.
Ongoing Efforts to Combat Drug Trafficking
The recent arrests reflect a larger commitment by law enforcement agencies to tackle drug-related crimes effectively. In similar operations across the region, authorities have made significant strides in curbing drug trafficking, with police in Sidi Kacem successfully putting an end to a drug dealer's activities and other operations leading to the seizure of large quantities of narcotics in various towns. The ongoing vigilance and dedicated efforts of the police underline the seriousness of the issue and their determination to bring those involved in the drug trade to justice.
