Casablanca Urban Agency Adopts Drone Technology for Precision Mapping
The Casablanca Urban Agency (AUC) is making significant strides in enhancing its operational capabilities by incorporating advanced drone technology. Scheduled to acquire two drones equipped with airborne laser sensors, this initiative aims to revolutionize the way topographic surveys, land modeling, and urbanization monitoring are conducted in the region. Under the supervision of the Ministry of the Interior, the AUC is determined to create an internal three-dimensional representation of the territory, ensuring centimeter-level accuracy in monitoring urban development.
This technological advancement not only promises to improve the precision of urban planning efforts but also reflects a broader trend towards the integration of state-of-the-art technology in public services. By utilizing drones, the AUC can gather data more efficiently and with greater detail, which is crucial for informed decision-making regarding urban development.
