Virgin Limited Edition has announced an exciting addition to its prestigious collection—a luxury boutique hotel set to open in Morocco. This new establishment will complement the already acclaimed Kasbah Tamadot, nestled in the picturesque Atlas Mountains. Located just 25 minutes from Marrakech, the hotel will feature 37 elegantly designed suites, a comprehensive wellness center, and a meticulously curated program of cultural and immersive experiences that are signature offerings of Virgin Limited Edition. The grand opening is scheduled for 2027, and anticipation is already building for this exceptional destination.
A Unique Blend of Culture and Luxury
Occupying a sprawling 10-hectare private agricultural estate, this project marks a significant long-term collaboration between Virgin Limited Edition and the luxury real estate developer, Sazanes Immobilier, based in Morocco. Construction is already underway for the luxury hotel, which draws inspiration from Moroccan craftsmanship and Berber traditions. Additionally, plans for an exclusive residential project are also in the works.
Situated only a short drive from the vibrant center of Marrakech, this estate will serve as an exceptional base for guests to explore the rich culture, cuisine, and artistry of the city while providing a serene retreat from the hustle and bustle of the Medina. Just an hour away from the existing Kasbah Tamadot property, the new hotel will offer guests the unique opportunity to experience both the energetic city life and a tranquil mountain escape within the same getaway.
The project promises a holistic experience, with features such as three distinct restaurants, a chef’s table, and a speakeasy bar, all utilizing seasonal produce sourced from the estate’s organic orchards, olive groves, and gardens. A traditional Moroccan wellness center, complete with a hammam and a 40-meter swimming pool, will enhance the wellness offerings, alongside various sports and recreational activities like tennis, paddle, and horseback riding. A central component of the guest experience will be a selective program of immersive cultural experiences, a hallmark of all Virgin Limited Edition properties.
Emphasizing sustainability and local culture is foundational to the project. The design of the estate will seamlessly integrate into the agricultural landscape, reflecting the authentic traditions of the region. Local materials such as stone and wood will be prominently featured, and the interiors will showcase works by Moroccan and African artists. An event space, designed with versatility in mind, will host temporary exhibitions, providing local artists with a platform to display their work.
