According to preliminary information gathered by the newspaper “aabbir.com” from local sources at the incident site in the "Ishraq Housing" complex, the Royal Gendarmerie of the Tamanar area swiftly responded to the scene following notification of this unfortunate event.
The gendarmerie discovered a 44-year-old woman who had tragically lost her life after falling from the fifth floor, while her 24-year-old son was found with serious injuries and was immediately rushed to the hospital for urgent medical care.
In a significant development in the investigation, initial inquiries within the family’s apartment led to the discovery of a second child’s body, a boy approximately 8 years old, found inside the home.
Available data suggests that the injured son had previously undergone judicial investigations following a failed suicide attempt after ingesting a toxic substance, which is a factor being considered by the security services in the ongoing investigation.
Upon the order of the public prosecutor's office at the Marrakech Court of Appeal, judicial police have launched an investigation to ascertain the circumstances and details surrounding the incident, aiming to determine its exact causes. Additionally, the bodies of the two victims have been transferred to the morgue for autopsy in compliance with the prosecutor's directives.
Investigations are still ongoing to ascertain whether this was an accidental fall or a deliberate act, as authorities await the results of the inquiry and forensic examination.
