The Minister of Industry, Tourism, Innovation, and Commerce of the Comunitat Valenciana, Marián Cano, recently emphasized the natural partnership between the region and Morocco during a business meeting held at the headquarters of the CEV. This gathering, which also featured the Moroccan Minister of Industry and Commerce, highlighted the potential for an industrial, technological, and logistical alliance that could enhance both regions' global positioning. Cano articulated the importance of taking significant steps toward collaboration, aiming to create value and improve competitiveness not only in Europe and the Mediterranean but also in Africa.
During her speech at the event titled 'Exploring Morocco: Keys to Investing and Growing in Africa from the Comunitat Valenciana', Cano underscored the deep institutional, economic, and cultural ties that bind the Comunitat Valenciana and Morocco. She pointed out the numerous opportunities that such collaboration presents for encouraging business growth and opening new market avenues. The minister referred to a previous business mission to Morocco, which provided insights into potential collaborative ventures, stating that the current meetings are key to further enhancing relations and global positioning for both territories.
Leveraging Strengths for Mutual Benefit
Cano also highlighted the impressive strengths of the Valencian productive fabric, describing it as one of the most diversified industrial ecosystems in Southern Europe. She noted the region's leadership in sectors such as ceramics, furniture, textiles, natural stone, agri-food, chemical industries, and plastics, as well as its innovative capabilities in mobility and automotive sectors. The minister reaffirmed the Comunitat Valenciana's capacity to attract productive investments and develop substantial industrial projects, attributing this success to its strategic Mediterranean location, availability of talent, quality infrastructure, and robust business framework.
Moreover, Cano reiterated the Consell's commitment to the internationalization of Valencian companies as a vital tool for enhancing competitiveness, diversifying markets, and creating new growth opportunities. She concluded her remarks by stating that the collaboration between Morocco and the Comunitat Valenciana is a unique chance to initiate joint projects and solidify their positions as strategic partners in the Mediterranean region. "In a world characterized by uncertainty, proximity, trust, and cooperation have become essential strategic assets.
