Specifically, in April alone, the number of passengers who passed through Essaouira-Mogador reached 32,065, reflecting a significant increase of 25.29% from the 25,593 travelers recorded in April 2025. The data concerning passenger air traffic distribution at this airport facility, up until the end of April, highlights the dominance of international flights, with a total of 97,641 passengers, marking an increase of 14.41%. In contrast, domestic flights saw a sharp decline, with only 240,000 passengers, which is a staggering decrease of 88.43%.
In terms of flight operations, the airport recorded a growth rate of 16.31%, reaching a total of 756 air movements by the end of April 2026, up from 650 flights during the same period last year. On a national level, commercial air traffic across the kingdom's airports amounted to 12,336,962 passengers by the end of April 2026, reflecting a growth of 9.7% compared to the same timeframe last year.
