The Shura Council of Qatar actively participated in the fourth session of the Marrakech Economic Parliamentary Forum, which took place in Marrakech, Morocco, on June 21, 2026. This significant event brought together parliamentarians, officials, and experts from various countries and international organizations, focusing on pressing economic and developmental issues of mutual interest within the Euro-Mediterranean and Gulf regions.

Representing the Shura Council at this forum were Mr. Abdullah bin Nasser bin Turki Al Subaie, a member of the Shura Council and Vice President of the Mediterranean Parliament, alongside Mr. Hamad bin Abdullah Al Mulla, another member of the council. During the forum, a range of critical topics were discussed, including global challenges related to economic integration and free trade, stimulating investment in artificial intelligence, enhancing employment opportunities, and addressing the impacts of climate change on food security. In his speech at the forum, Mr. Abdullah bin Nasser bin Turki Al Subaie emphasized Qatar's commitment to adopting sound financial and economic policies that prioritize transparency, governance, and diversification of income sources. The discussions also encompassed energy security, food security, knowledge-based economy, artificial intelligence, and cybersecurity. Al Subaie highlighted the necessity of developing legislative frameworks and policies that support sustainable development, thereby enhancing the ability to confront global economic challenges.
