Outstanding Achievement in the Fes-Meknes Region

In a remarkable display of academic excellence, Sarah Abou Zeid has secured the highest score in the Fes-Meknes region, achieving an impressive 19.34 in the June 2026 Baccalaureate examinations. This impressive feat was accomplished among 32,053 students who took part in the ordinary examination session, out of a total of 55,345 candidates registered. The results reflect a significant success rate, with 5,531 students from private institutions passing the exams, and female students constituting approximately 62.94% of all successful candidates.

The Regional Academy for Education and Training in Fes-Meknes reported that the successful candidates were distributed across various fields of study, with 22,421 students achieving success in scientific and technical disciplines, yielding a success rate of 56.36%. Meanwhile, 9,572 students from literary and original streams passed with a success rate of 68.30%. Among candidates with disabilities, 244 students participated, and 178 of them passed, resulting in a noteworthy success rate of 72.95%.

Recognition and Future Prospects

For the independent candidates, 2,604 were successful, including 169 who were incarcerated, achieving a success rate of 29.72%. The academy expressed its gratitude to the educational and administrative staff, educational monitoring bodies, and all involved partners, including local administration, national security, royal gendarmerie, civil protection, and parent-teacher associations, for their dedication and efforts in ensuring the success of this vital educational milestone.

In total, 16,012 students graduated with honors, accounting for 49.96% of successful candidates. Out of these, 2,137 students achieved the distinction of “Very Good,” while 4,497 received the grade of “Good.” The number of students who attained the grade of “Acceptable” reached 9,378. Looking ahead, 25,095 candidates are set to take the second chance examination, which includes 19,893 students from regular schools and 5,202 independent candidates, showcasing the ongoing commitment to educational achievement in the region.
