Royal Air Maroc Suspends Flights Amid Rising Fuel Costs

Royal Air Maroc Adjusts Operations in Response to Fuel Price Surge

In light of the sharp increase in kerosene prices, which can be directly attributed to geopolitical tensions in the Middle East and a slowdown in demand for certain routes, Royal Air Maroc has found it necessary to implement adjustments to its international network. The airline issued a statement explaining that this unprecedented rise in operational costs is significantly impacting the entire global aviation sector, prompting many airlines to reevaluate their flight schedules and temporarily adjust their capacity.

As part of these adjustments, Royal Air Maroc has announced the temporary suspension of flights on the following routes: Casablanca to Bangui, Casablanca to Brazzaville, Casablanca to Kinshasa, Casablanca to Douala, Casablanca to Yaoundé, Casablanca to Libreville, Tangier to Malaga, Tangier to Barcelona, Marrakech to Lyon, Marrakech to Bordeaux, Marrakech to Marseille, and Marrakech to Brussels. The airline is committed to taking all necessary measures to support affected passengers and minimize the associated disruptions as much as possible.

The statement concluded with an assurance that the national carrier is closely monitoring international developments and will gradually resume these routes as soon as operational and economic conditions allow. The airline remains dedicated to maintaining service quality and passenger satisfaction despite the current challenges.
