Royal Air Maroc Expands Connectivity with New Route
Royal Air Maroc, the national airline of Morocco, has officially launched a new direct flight route connecting Alicante to Casablanca as of April 1. This initiative marks a significant enhancement in international connectivity for the Alicante province, reaffirming its role as a strategic link between Spain and Morocco. The introduction of this route is part of the airline's broader expansion strategy in the Spanish market, where it has been operating for over 50 years.
The new service will feature three weekly flights, scheduled for Wednesdays, Fridays, and Sundays. This frequency provides travelers with greater flexibility and options for their journeys. Royal Air Maroc's expansion in Spain now includes operations at nine airports, offering over 80 weekly flights that connect five Moroccan cities to various destinations across Spain. Passengers departing from Alicante will benefit from seamless access to the airline's extensive international network, which spans across Africa, America, and the Middle East, via its Casablanca hub.
This new route aligns with Royal Air Maroc's strategic international growth plan, aiming to solidify its position as a global airline and enhance the significance of its Casablanca hub. The expansion is particularly timely as the airline gears up for the upcoming 2030 World Cup, which will be hosted by Morocco, Spain, and Portugal, reflecting the company's commitment to fostering international travel and tourism.
