Pratt & Whitney Canada Expands Operations with New Facility in Morocco
On April 21, 2026, Pratt & Whitney Canada, a subsidiary of RTX, officially inaugurated a state-of-the-art production facility located in the Midparc industrial zone in Nouaceur, near Casablanca. This new site is dedicated to the manufacturing of detailed, static, and structural components for various engine families, including the well-known PT6, PW300, and PW500 series. Covering an area of 12,000 square meters and situated on approximately 2.8 hectares of land, this facility represents a significant investment of around $76 million, partially supported by the Moroccan government.
The establishment of this facility is set to create approximately 200 jobs by 2030 as the plant ramps up its operations. Since the commencement of construction in 2024, the site has rapidly progressed from building to operational status. This development has included the recruitment of skilled personnel, technical training programs, and the installation of advanced machining equipment, positioning Pratt & Whitney Canada as a key player in Morocco's burgeoning aerospace sector.
In addition to Pratt & Whitney, Collins Aerospace, another division of RTX, has been actively producing cockpit elements and flight controls in Morocco since 2012, employing around 250 individuals across its operations in the country. The strategic expansion of Pratt & Whitney's production capabilities in Morocco not only enhances the local economy but also reinforces the nation's status as a hub for advanced aerospace manufacturing in the region.
