An intensive security operation conducted by the judicial police in Marrakech resulted in the arrest of two individuals suspected of being involved in drug trafficking and the distribution of narcotic pills on the morning of Tuesday, June 2. This successful operation came about after law enforcement closely monitored the movements of the suspects within the city, leading to their apprehension while they were actively engaged in these illicit activities.
The police investigation yielded significant results, with authorities seizing a total of 1,230 tablets of the narcotic medication ‘Rivotril’, along with 80 grams of cocaine that were prepared for distribution. Furthermore, the on-site searches uncovered an electronic scale that was presumably used for the preparation and distribution of the illicit substances. In addition, a motorcycle was confiscated, suspected of being used to facilitate the movement of the arrested individuals during their illegal operations. A sum of money believed to be proceeds from these activities was also seized.
The two suspects have been placed under police custody by order of the competent public prosecutor, pending further judicial investigations aimed at uncovering all details related to the case and identifying any possible extensions or connections to this criminal activity.
