On a significant day for Moroccan diplomacy, Foreign Minister Nasser Bourita received several high-profile envoys from Africa, including Leslie Mbula, the special envoy from Zambian President Hakainde Hichilema. Mbula delivered an important message from the Zambian President to King Mohammed VI, emphasizing the strong bilateral relations that exist between Morocco and Zambia. During the meeting, Mbula praised Morocco's stability and socio-economic advancements, particularly under the New Development Model and the Industrial Acceleration Plan. These initiatives have firmly established Morocco as a continental leader in sectors such as automotive and aeronautics.

Furthermore, Mbula expressed Zambia's unwavering support for Morocco’s territorial integrity, particularly concerning the Sahara region. He also highlighted the potential for enhanced cooperation between the two nations in areas such as digital transformation, youth empowerment, and innovation. In particular, he commended Morocco's impressive sports infrastructure, which has gained international recognition.
