Latest Developments in the Investigation of Sexual Assaults on Minors in Ksar Ba Mohammed
The alarming case concerning human trafficking and the sexual exploitation of minor female students in Ksar Ba Mohammed, a town in the Taounate province, has entered a new judicial phase. The examining judge in the third chamber of the Court of Appeal in Fez has concluded detailed investigations involving several defendants linked to this case.
According to a reliable source, the examining judge has decided to refer the case file to the public prosecutor at the Court of Appeal in Fez, allowing for the submission of final requests, which is a precursor to the case being moved to the criminal chamber for trial proceedings to commence. This decision follows the completion of investigative procedures involving seven out of nine defendants who are currently in custody regarding this case, which has sparked widespread debate since its emergence in early April.
Previously, the public prosecutor had requested the initiation of a judicial investigation against the suspects after they were presented by judicial police officers on suspicions of involvement in crimes related to human trafficking and the sexual exploitation of minors.
