HUIR, affiliated with the International University of Rabat (UIR), is preparing for the launch of its new hospital-university center, expected to open in September 2026. To support this ambitious project, the hospital is expanding its workforce by recruiting Medical Secretaries who will play a crucial role in various administrative and patient-facing functions.
This state-of-the-art multidisciplinary healthcare facility will offer around forty medical and surgical specialties, equipped with a cutting-edge biomedical platform and a capacity to accommodate 530 beds and places. The establishment is designed to meet high standards for patient care quality and safety, with a total investment of approximately 2 billion dirhams, ultimately creating over 1,200 jobs.
Roles and Responsibilities
The Medical Secretaries will be pivotal in welcoming, guiding, and managing patients while ensuring seamless communication between various departments. Their responsibilities will include:
- Welcoming patients and their families, providing information, and directing them according to their needs.
- Identifying and addressing the expectations of patients and their families.
- Facilitating patient admission to the service and connecting them with nursing staff.
- Managing communications with patients, families, medical teams, and various departments.
- Handling phone calls and processing incoming requests.
- Performing administrative tasks related to departmental needs.
- Updating patient records and entering necessary administrative data.
- Managing documentation destined for archiving.
- Verifying administrative information concerning patients.
- Preparing and ensuring the completeness of discharge documents.
- Coordinating with other services, including the BAF, imaging, laboratory, and care units.
- Participating in the coordination with medical-technical services.
- Planning tasks, managing priorities, and contributing to a streamlined patient journey.
- Entering data related to departmental activities and maintaining activity dashboards.
- Adhering to administrative procedures related to hospitalization and the facility's operations.
- Utilizing hospital management tools, including the SIH, to track patient administration.
Applicants should meet the following qualifications:
- Possess a diploma in Specialized Technician in Business Management.
- Have 2 to 5 years of relevant experience.
- Demonstrate proficiency in office software.
- Exhibit strong communication and reception skills.
- Show organizational skills and attention to detail in information handling.
- Be adaptable to a structured hospital environment.
- Understand the patient journey and the associated administrative requirements.
- Ability to coordinate with multiple stakeholders in a demanding setting.
