High-Level Visit to Sidi Kaouki National Ecological Camping Center Enhances National Camping Program

Strengthening the National Camping Program Under Royal Patronage

Under the esteemed patronage of His Majesty King Mohammed VI, the national camping program "Vacation for All" is witnessing significant advancements. Recently, the Sidi Kaouki National Ecological Camping Center hosted a distinguished field visit, led by Mr. Aziz Maatassim, the regional director of the Youth Sector in the Marrakech-Safi region. He was accompanied by Mr. Mohamed Driouch, the regional director of the Youth Sector in Essaouira, along with several officials from both the regional and provincial directorates. The visit also included the participation of Mr. Moulay Youssef El Aloui, the president of the regional office of the National Camping Federation in Marrakech-Safi.

Upon arrival, the official delegation was warmly welcomed by Mr. Abdelkader Roudwani, the director of the Sidi Kaouki National Ecological Camping Center, alongside his deputies and staff responsible for managing the dining services and finances. The team also included educational and administrative personnel dedicated to ensuring the success of the Essaouira camps for the summer of 2026.

Comprehensive Inspection and Educational Gatherings

The visit commenced with an extensive tour of the various facilities and spaces within the center, allowing the delegation to assess the quality of equipment and services available for children and youth. The tour encompassed the central dining area, educational workshop rooms, recreational spaces, and accommodation facilities, alongside various structures that host educational, cultural, and environmental programs. This thorough inspection aimed to evaluate the quality of services offered and the adherence to safety and organizational standards.

Additionally, a significant educational gathering was organized in the main outdoor theater area, attended by all beneficiaries from the camping communities, along with supervising educational and administrative staff. This gathering showcased a national spirit that embodies the values of discipline, citizenship, and coexistence, which characterize summer camps.

On the sidelines of the visit, the regional director held a communication meeting with the administrative staff overseeing the management of the camps at the center, including the dining supervisor. During this meeting, he delivered a motivational speech commending the substantial efforts made by all parties to ensure the success of this national initiative, praising the organization, quality of services, and the sense of responsibility that defines the work of all involved.

Furthermore, the regional director expressed his gratitude and appreciation to the center's management, administrative and educational staff, financial administrators, and all partners and stakeholders, as well as local authorities, security services, civil protection, and health sectors, for their contributions to the success of this national program, which enjoys the attention and support of His Majesty King Mohammed VI.

This field visit underscores the Ministry of Youth, Culture, and Communication's commitment to the continuous monitoring of various camping centers, ensuring the provision of optimal educational and recreational conditions for children. It reinforces the principles of quality, safety, and effective management, in line with the royal directives aimed at enhancing childhood and youth programs and transforming camping spaces into genuine schools of citizenship and value education.

The Sidi Kaouki National Ecological Camping Center continues to assert its position as one of the premier national camping centers, thanks to the collective mobilization and responsible engagement of all stakeholders, aiming for the success of the summer camps of 2026 and offering a distinctive educational and human experience for children and youth from across the kingdom. This reflects the noble goals of the national program "Vacation for All," under the esteemed patronage of His Majesty King Mohammed VI.
