Health Students at Private University in Marrakech Raise Alarm Over Employment Exam Scheduling

Students from the health departments at a private university in Marrakech have voiced their dissatisfaction regarding the scheduling of their final project discussions, set for July 21. They argue that this date poses a significant risk of preventing them from participating in upcoming employment exams, which are crucial for their career prospects.

In a statement received by our publication, the students highlighted that they had informed the university administration about a month ago regarding the unusual scheduling of this year’s employment exams, which are slated for June 28 and July 12. They emphasized that the timing of these exams necessitates an earlier schedule for final project discussions to ensure that they can obtain their graduation certificates within the required timelines.

The students pointed out that several nursing and health technician training institutes across Morocco have adapted their academic calendars and accelerated their final project discussions. However, despite multiple meetings and attempts at dialogue, the university administration has maintained the original schedule, leaving the students in a precarious position.

They expressed concerns that if the current situation persists, they could be deprived of the opportunity to take part in the employment exams, which would lead to the loss of significant career opportunities due to administrative oversights beyond their control. The issue is not isolated, as it affects various health departments within the university, despite the students having completed all other training requirements except for the final project discussion and the acquisition of their success certificates.
