Upcoming Visit of the Maghreb Parliamentary Group to Morocco
From April 8 to 10, 2026, a delegation from the Maghreb Parliamentary Group, led by chair Claudia Roth, a member of the Bundestag from the Alliance 90/The Greens party, will embark on an official visit to the Kingdom of Morocco. This visit aims primarily to enhance bilateral relations between Germany and Morocco, fostering a stronger connection through meaningful dialogue and collaboration.
The delegation includes prominent members such as Carl-Philipp Sassenrath of the CDU/CSU, who serves as the deputy chair of the parliamentary group, and Johann Martel from the AfD party, who is also a member of the group. During this visit, the delegation is set to engage in discussions with high-ranking officials from the Moroccan Parliament, reflecting the importance of these diplomatic interactions.
Key topics of conversation will extend beyond the domestic political landscape of Morocco; they will also encompass crucial issues such as foreign policy, human rights, energy, and climate change. These discussions are vital not only for strengthening bilateral ties but also for addressing shared challenges and exploring opportunities for cooperation in various sectors.
