Fes-Meknes Unveils Attractive Programs for Technology and Outsourcing Firms
The Fes-Meknes Regional Investment Center has announced a series of new incentives aimed at attracting companies to establish themselves within the "Fes Shore" area. This initiative is part of a broader strategy designed to enhance the appeal of the tech hub and attract fresh investments in the fields of digital services and outsourcing. The new measures are intended to bolster the region's competitive edge in the digital economy while supporting local job creation.
Among the initiatives introduced are two financial support programs aimed at encouraging investors to launch new projects and expand existing operations. These programs are specifically structured to generate sustainable job opportunities for local talent. The first program offers an investment grant provided by the Fes-Meknes Regional Council, which can reach up to two million dirhams. This grant is designated to cover costs related to the development of professional spaces, excluding expenses related to equipment, furnishings, and fixtures, thus facilitating the commencement of operations for new companies within the region.
The second program focuses on employment support. It provides financial assistance of 6,000 dirhams for each job created by companies operating within "Fes Shore," whether they are newly established or existing. This support is contingent upon maintaining the created positions for a minimum of 24 months. The implementation of these two programs is timely, as it aligns with the growing demand for outsourcing and technology services, thereby enhancing the region's competitiveness in attracting digital economy investments and integrating local talent into the job market.
"Fes Shore" is recognized as one of Morocco's premier spaces dedicated to technology and digital service activities. Spanning over 25,000 square meters available for rent, it is strategically located just ten minutes from the center of Fes and approximately twenty minutes from Fes-Saïs Airport and the highway, making it highly accessible for investors. This site is home to several leading international companies, including Capgemini, CGI, and Cnexia, and it provides more than four thousand direct job opportunities. Furthermore, it features a comprehensive support system for investors that includes a one-stop shop for administrative procedures, streamlined processes, and access to real estate, in addition to connecting companies with various stakeholders within the regional economic ecosystem.
